こんにちは !! I am Romain, the new intern from France!
I arrived in Japan few weeks ago and yet I can say that I have done a lot of things and たのした a lot!


 Me fui como intern de Hippo en México por un año antes de llegar en Japón entonces ya sé un poco de Hippo… ¡Me gusta mucho el entorno multingüe y este estilo de vida único!


Je trouve ça génial que tant de personnes soient impliquées dans le projet, j’espère que Hippo va continuer de grandir de plus en plus!


Como les dije ya he hecho un buen de cosas aquí…

Je suis arrivé lors de la Golden Week du coup j’ai eu pas mal de temps pour visiter un peu le Japon… Par exemple je suis allé à Kurukuma et j’ai vu le Grand Buddha, c’était impressionnant!


I also went to the Caballeros Camp, we were more than 200 men (only)! Can you imagine that? That was super fun and I could talk a lot in Japanese and different languages with the Hippo Members
With the Hippo Judo Club we did a judo presentation. That was　めちゃ　うれし !! We had a lot of fun remixing the track of Ichiro going in the school bus…

-          どこからきたの ?
-          Mmmm 日本だけど
-          Waaa 日本 ?! Yaaa 柔道　できるでしょ ?
-          柔道 ?? YES OF COURSE !!!


Mis familias y los miembros de Hippo son todos buena onda, disfruto mucho mi tiempo aquí porque no veo el tiempo pasar. Estoy en Japón por solo 4 meses porque tengo que regresar a la escuela en septiembre ☹ pero だよぶintento de disfrutar de casa momento que tenga!


Petit à petit les sons que j’entends deviennent de plus en plus clairs dans ma 頭… Je ne comprends pas encore tout mais j’arrive à m’imaginer de quoi on parle. C’est la première 言語 que j’apprends vraiment de manière naturelle (comme un こども) et c’est très intéressant d’observer le processus qui se passe dans mon cerveau…


Now I am in Sendai… A new adventure began! If you are from Sendai I hope to meet and have fun with you!! For my friends from Tokyo, we will see each other soon!
SENDAI

日曜日 Sendai 糸と ゆふとままやえしぶやおrestaurantたべた．かみしばいあなした．All the people from Sendai seem super cool. The lunch was really fun y nos tardimos un buen.

El lunes fuimos a la universidad!!
大学わdivertido. Hicimos la sesion en el aire y nadie tuvo verguenza.


J’ai visité le 大観音.　おき !!　おもしろい !! 仏教わおもしろいだからヨーロッパない.

ぼくはかそくわげんきとmamaのぃおりわうえし !!! Hippo Members are also super cool but I guess this is the same in all Japan 😉. Can’t wait to make new friends here!!

Daniel- Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas 「メリークリスマス」　(Daniel) A knock came at the door around eight in the evening, just as we were finishing eating dinner.  I yelled out, " IRANAI～～～ ", meaning "we don't need it", pretending that it was some late working door-to-door salesman. My host mom laughed and went to answer the door. She came back carrying a huge USPS box from America. Oops. Just kidding. I need that. I really need that. My parents in the US decided to surprise me for Christmas by mailing me a box of my favorite items from America. They somehow managed to pack a pair of pants, two jars almond butter, five boxes of gum, four giant chucks of  halva , and four packages of chocolate. I have no idea how my parents managed to shove all of that stuff into such a small box. But knowing my parents, there is always a way. Needless to say, I was ecstatic to receive my gift. Maddie- The First of Many New Experiences

The First of Many New Experiences So, what have my first weeks been like in Japan? ABSOLUTELY BUSY! But, also...AMAZING! Truly, it has been a busy couple of weeks here, but not overwhelmingly so. Furthermore, I`d prefer to be kept busy! Too much free time = too much thinking = homesickness. By keeping a full, fun schedule, with some relaxing and downtime, I can keep engaged with my surroundings, make new friends, and stay sane. To prevent a wall of text, let me break down for you some of my recent activities. So far, I have: Presented about my life in Wisconsin to classes of middle school and elementary school students. Eaten kaiten-zushi, or conveyor belt sushi.  Been interviewed about my biggest surprise when I came to Japan (it`s bluntness in regards to appearance, people won`t hesitate to call someone fat, or tell you that you`ve gotten skinny since they last saw you.
